FNO welcomes queries about article ideas that might go well with the themes usually covered in FNO.
Please do not send articles without first sending a proposal and query letter. Unsolicited manuscripts will not be read or considered. From Now On will publish non-commercial articles of 1,000-2,500 words that are generally in philosophical alignment with a constructivist approach to the use of technologies - that is, a commitment to student problem-solving, information literacy and powerful reasoning. FNO will rarely consider articles that focus upon technology per se. FNO leans toward prose that is accessible to lay people and not overly academic in tone. Please make sure you have glanced through previous issues of FNO so that you are quite clear about the style, tone and content desired. The first step in the process is a proposal or query message. Queries are welcome proposing articles exploring leading edge and breaking edge issues. They should provide an overview of what the author intends as well as an introductory paragraph or two to give an idea of the author's writing style. All such queries should be sent by e-mail to Jamie McKenzie, the Editor. All decisions regarding the publishing of articles will be made by the Editor. If the article is published, FNO retains the right to maintain the article on the FNO Web site, but the author retains copyright and all other rights. |
