No Room at the School?

No child left behind? Will some of the radical "reform" strategies of the current federal education law actually undermine the success of public schools?

Fond of "parental choice" theories, department officials have taken a hard line, requiring districts to make room for students to change schools whether there is room or not.

Some observers have charged that the rules are a way of backing us all into a voucher type program.
