The Puzzle Song

Listen to Jamie sing on YouTube

D G A D
There once was a puzzle all shiny and bright
D G A D
Sat near the window reflecting the light
D G A D
A thousand small pieces made up this bright scene
D G A D
All interlocking and fitting so clean

D G A D
A kitten flew up to that window so high
D G A D
Scattering pieces of puzzle did fly

One of the pieces fell into a shoe
Found herself trav-ling to lands strange and new
Tumbled out finally upon the hard floor
No longer puzzled but free to explore

No longer puzzled but free to explore
She tumbled out finally upon the hard floor

A hand reached down gently, a hand that she knew
A hand of the body that stepped in the shoe
He lifted her up to a table so high
There lay a puzzle unfinished nearby

There lay a puzzle unfinished nearby
`He lifted her up to a table so high

Come join our puzzle the pieces all cried
Down at the corner along the far side
Tuck in your points there, flatten your curves
Changing your shape for this puzzle we serve

Changing your shape for this puzzle we serve
Tuck in your points there, flatten your curve

I'd rather not join you, I'd rather not change
I'd rather be me than be something so strange
I'm no longer puzzled, I'm free to explore
I see who I am and I want to learn more

I see who I am and I want to learn more
I'm no longer puzzled, I'm free to explore
I'm no longer puzzled, I'm free to explore
