Come be a child with me

CHORUS
Let down your walls
Come be a child with me
Come be a child with me, once more
Open your door come be a child with me
Come be a child with me, once more

We’re gonna jump from boulder to boulder
Swing from the copper beach
Run through back yard barbecues
And climb out beyond our reach
We’re gonna laugh at bubblegum funnies
Steal apples from Griswold’s trees
We’re gonna wrap ourselves around the branch
And hang there by our knees

You’ve got to lift your arms above you
Act like a toreador
You’ve got to charge with the rush
of a maddened bull
Let out a mighty roar
You’ve got to dance to the music within you
Sway to the rising breeze
You’ve got to toss your head so boldly
Toss your head so free

Come wander cross the meadows
Gath’ring up the flowers
Come lie down in the deep cool grass
Dreaming away the hours
Stare up into the cloud-filled sky
Menageries in your mind
A carnival fantasy three-ringed spree
A fantasy train behind

CHORUS
Let down your walls
Come be a child with me
Come be a child with me, once more
Open your door come be a child with me
Come be a child with me, once more
